Hi! I am so happy you want to know a little bit more about our brand! for starters I'm Clara the artist and owner behind See Her Create! I've always been creative, painting and creating from a very young age, but I've been consistently creating since the end of 2016. Sadly my artist origin story starts off a little emotional. I first got back into creating in my grandmother's hospital waiting room. There was nothing else to do so my great cousin, Liv, and I took to a creative outlet! While I hate what our family had to go through, I am forever thankful for what that time has brought me.
Now on a lighter note... I first started my social media endeavors in July of 2018 on what now seems like such a whim. (You'll find out I tend do to that a lot XD) I used Instagram as a way to just share the few paintings I was making and didn't really think of what it could bring me. Over time I came to grow a following and realized I could maybe do something with this great platform I was given...
In July of 2020, once again on a whim, I started selling a few sticker designs to my followers on Instagram. To my surprise, within a couple of weeks, I was seeing a pretty good flow of orders, so I decided to create a few more designs, which also seemed to be popular. This carried on for several months when in about December of the same year, as I was approaching the second semester of my Junior year in high school, I started thinking about what I wanted to do for a living. The answer I kept coming back to was... well... this! I genuinely could not imagine myself doing anything other than running my own business. (Granted I had never worked anywhere else, but still, being my own boss just felt right.)
After selling on Instagram for another 7 months I decided I wanted a new platform to sell on, which brought me to Etsy. Some months of planning later and... I launched my Etsy shop on July 1, 2021! I am forever thankful for my time on that platform, but there are also many things I regret about choosing Esty. I'll let you do your own research, but I'll leave it at this: I feel freer than ever being able to have MY OWN website.
