I recently made a scrumptious red velvet cake and obviously needed a cream cheese frosting to pair with it! After a bunch of research into several different recipes, I ended up with this! And it was so good I had to share it with you!
[Makes enough for smaller cakes or approx. 24 cupcakes!]
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter [softened]
- 1 8oz. block of 1/3 fat cream cheese
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
-Start by whipping your softened butter on medium-high speed for 4 minutes [or until light and fluffy].
-Add in your block of cream cheese and whip for 2 minutes. Your butter and cream cheese should now be seamlessly combined!
-Add vanilla and mix until fully incorporated.
-Start adding in your powdered sugar one cup at a time. [Mixing until fully combined before adding the next cup.]
-Continue mixing until smooth and enjoy on a delicious cake [or by the spoon full ;) we won't judge]
