See Her Bake's Sugar Cookies

The best homemade sugar cookies you'll ever make!

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 c. flour

- 1 tsp. baking powder

- 3/4 tsp. salt

- 1 c. sugar

- 3/4 c. butter

- 2 eggs

- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

 

Instructions

1. Pre-heat oven to 375

2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix together dry ingredients then set aside. [Flour,baking powder & salt.]

3. Cream together sugar & butter.

4. Add eggs & vanilla to your sugar & butter mixture and mix well.

5. Slowly add your bowl of dry ingredients to your wet mixture until a slightly stcky but firm dough forms.

6. Form your dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill overnight or for 1-2 hours.

7. Generously flour a flat surface, divide your dough ball into quarters and start rolling them out and cookie cutting each section one by one. [This makes the rolling and cutting process much more manageable!]

*I like to roll my dough to roughly 1/4", but over the years we have tried varying thicknesses, so pick your preference!

[Optional] Chill cookies in freezer for about 7 minutes before baking! We found it helps them not spread as much, thus keeping their cookie cut shape much better!

8. Bake cookies for 7-10 minutes until the edges are slightly dusted with a golden brown color!

9. Top with your favorite frosting [I recommend My Go-To Buttercream Frosting!] & enjoy!
